Admit you can't do it alone and turn it over to God

One day this summer I was swimming in the pool.  Swimming  is not my favorite form of exercise but I decided to do a triathlon and swimming is part of that so I practice swimming twice a week to get better.  On this particular day I was trying to reach a goal of swimming 1 lap free style.  I do not like swimming free style.  There is something in my head about having my face in the water.  Maybe it is from almost drowning in the river when I was younger, I'm really not sure why but I hate to put my face in the water.  That is why I swim on my back.  The beginning of the summer I wanted to be able to swim some laps free style  when I do the triathlon.  So on this particular day I was trying to fight the battle in my head about swimming with my face in the water.  I finally decided to just try and swim the lap, after all it was only one lap and that was easy.  Besides if things got hard I could always flip over on my back. The whole lap felt like time stood still and it took me forever to swim that 25 yards.  My mind tried to panic so many times and I had to really focus and keep my mind on the task at hand while getting across that pool in free style.  I FINALLY DID IT!!!!!  I made my lap and was so happy.  When I got into the car this song was playing on the radio.

Songwriters: Lauren Daigle
I keep fighting voices in my mind that say I'm not enough
Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up
Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low
Remind me once again just who I am because I need to know
Ooh-oh
You say I am loved when I can't feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
And you say I am held when I am falling short
And when I don't belong, oh You say I am Yours
And I believe (I)
Oh, I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
I believe
So at this point, think of Heavenly Father and picture having this conversation with him.
The only thing that matters now is everything You think of me
In You I find my worth, in You I find my identity
Ooh-oh
You say I am loved when I can't feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
And you say I am held when I am falling short
When I don't belong, oh You say I am Yours
And I believe (I)
Oh, I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
Oh, I believe
Taking all I have, and now I'm laying it at Your feet
You have every failure, God, You have every victory
Ooh-oh
You say I am loved when I can't feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don't belong, oh You say I am Yours
And I believe (I)
Oh, I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
I believe
Oh, I believe (I)
Yes, I believe (I)
What You say of me (I)
I believe

When I heard that song, I felt like Heavenly Father was speaking to me, saying you are strong, and once you trust in me you will know that I believe in you.  He believes in us so much!  He knows what we are capable of.  He knows what we can accomplish!  He loves us and he will make "weak things become strong" (Ether 12:26-27).
He can help with addiction. He can help with being a mom.  He can help with anything you are struggling with.  When we admit defeat and turn it over to him, our weaknesses will become strong.  He loves us so much and he believes in us to our fullest extent.

Open your spiritual eyes and see what God sees in you.  He loves you!  He wants you to be happy!  He wants all that you want.  We just need to open the door and let him in.  Trust him, follow him and be all that he knows you are.

All right everyone, have a great week.  Keep going strong and I promise you will make it through.  Have a great week!
