Happy Birthday!

46 years ago I joined the most wonderful family!  When I was born I had 11 siblings two that had passed on to the next life, 11 nieces and nephews and parents that chose to have me at an age that was not young.  My sister just older than me was almost 10 years old and I was very much planned.  I talked about this a little bit before but today I feel like it is a story that I want to share.

A little bit about my parents.  They truly are my rock.  My Dad grew up in Texas going to the Baptist Church.  My mom grew up in Northern Arizona going to  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  My father was 12 years older than my mother. He was married before so when they got married he had 3 children, 2 that lived with him.  My father was my mother's dream come true.  When she married him she became a mother instantly and that was her dream.
My father had 3 children with his first wife.  When I came along they were all grown and having kids of their own so I really did not get to know them very well, but I knew their kids and I loved being an aunt to kids that were older than me.I still joke that I don't know how it is to grow up with a bunch of siblings but I do know how it is to have a bunch of parents all of my siblings have mothered or fathered me in some way.   Though the years I have had a chance to get to know them and love them.

1 year after they were married  they gave birth to twin girls, they only lived for hours after their birth.  One died the same day and the other died the next day.  My mom could not even go to the funeral.
A year later she had another set of twins, boy and girl. This was a blessing to her and my dad!  It did not replace the twins she lost but it helped with the pain.  Over the years my parents had 4 more children 1 boy and 3 girls.  After my sister Cindy they really thought they were done with their family.  They had 9 living children and they were very content and happy.  Little did they know that my little sister and I  wanted to come to their home 10 and 14  years later.  I know I wanted to come to their home because of the experience my mother had after she was coming out of a surgery.  I'm not going to share that experience here but I will tell you that my mom was very close to the spirit and she knew that she needed to have more children.  Not just one but at least 2.  The month she started trying to get pregnant she did with me. And 4 years later they adopted my little sister.. I know we were together in the preexistence.  I know we were the spirits that wanted to come to their home. I know that my little sister was supposed to be a part of our family.

My family is everything to me.  I grew up feeling so much love.  It took me years to realize I was not special to everyone.  Haha  I grew up feeling so loved and special to all of my family.   I thought everyone in the world thought that of me.  haha  but life happens and you know what I may not be special to everyone but I am special to all of those that matter.  I am special to me! I am special to a Heavenly Father that loves me.  And really that is what matters.  I had the best parents, they loved me and everyone that came into my  life.  They truly know what it is like to love unconditionally.  So as this week now ends  I say Enjoy the moments that enter your life no matter how old you get.  Life is ment to be happy and we can find JOY in everything! Love those around you and be happy!
